Here at BizWorld, one of the most exciting times of the day is 2:00 PM. That's when the mail comes, and we all anxiously wait to see if any pre and post assessments have arrived!
But lately, there has been a shortage of thick, white BizWorld envelopes coming
through the mail slot. Which leads us to wonder: what would make the pre/post assessments
more feasible to send in? We’ve heard from some teachers that it’s too long.
Others say that in a crunch for time, it’s too difficult to get everything done
in one day.
It is hard to find time to teach BizWorld in my 3rd grade classroom where I have many testing demands. It is even harder to make time for the pre and post assessments. If you make them only one page long, I could use them.
Happy Teacher's Day!!

I thought the pre and post assessments would be easier if they were on scan trons...is that possible?

Delia, what a great idea! That would be easier and it would help my students practice with scan trons, which they need to use for the state tests.

I agree with the Scantron comment...that would make my life a lot easier. I agree with Hannah; 1 page seems a lot more feasible.

Hi...
I just completed volunteer teaching the BizWorld curriculum at La Entrada School in Menlo Park, CA this week. It was a great experience and the feedback from kids, teachers, and a couple of parents who stopped in during the week were positive. As for the pre and post test assessment, I agree that if this could be shortened a bit, it would be beneficial to all parties. My BizWorld Co-Teacher, Itzik Cohen, and I were able to make it through most every part of the curriculum except for the post test. We fully appreciated the need for the pre and post testing but believe with a shorter test, we could cover everthing rather than leaving the post test to the class teacher. In summary, it was a great experience witnessing the "a-ha" moments among the class and seeing young creative minds at work!
Thanks for providing such a great curriculum for us to deliver.
